Advantages of online therapy
Do I need a referral?
How can I get a rebate?
For Medicare rebates, please visit your GP and request a psychologist referral along with a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP).
For private health insurance, check with your provider to confirm eligibility and requirements. You will receive an invoice that you can use to submit a claim directly with your fund.
For NDIS funding, support may be available for individuals with a recognised disability. Please contact us via the contact form for more details.
Can I cancel or change my appointment?
Of course, changes can be made free of charge up to 24 hours before the appointment. You can make changes or cancel easily online (see link in email).
Please note, a late cancellation fee will apply for cancellations within 24 hours before the appointment.
Is therapy for me?
Your first session is an opportunity to explore this question in a supportive and pressure-free environment. Therapy is not just for those with a diagnosed condition—it is for anyone seeking personal growth, emotional clarity, and a greater sense of wellbeing. No referral is required, and there is no need to have a specific issue in mind before getting started.
In many countries, therapy is provided as a preventative measure to support overall mental health. Engaging in therapy can help process past experiences, strengthen confidence, improve relationships, and provide the tools needed to navigate life’s challenges. It is also a valuable space for setting and achieving personal or professional goals.
Emotions can take up significant mental and emotional energy. By processing and expressing them, therapy can help create more space for focus, creativity, and motivation. The first session is simply a conversation—to understand your needs, explore how therapy might support you, and determine whether it feels like the right fit.
How do I join the online session?
The link will be sent after booking. If you haven’t received it, please check your spam folder. If you encounter any issues, feel free to reach out via the contact form.
Do you offer in-person sessions?
Currently, the sessions are online only. Feel free to get in touch and we can let you know when in-person sessions are available again.
What type of therapy can I expect?
Rosien uses integrative therapy, a flexible approach that combines several evidence-based methods to tailor treatment to your unique needs. This may include techniques from cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), emotion-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, schema therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), among others.
Beyond traditional psychotherapy, Rosien takes a holistic and systemic approach to mental health, considering how external factors such as work, relationships, and physical surroundings influence your wellbeing. Understanding these influences can be key to creating lasting change. She also has a special interest in integrative medicine, recognising the deep connection between mind and body. Physical symptoms can contribute to mental health challenges and vice versa. To support this, she has completed accredited courses in personalised medicine, environmental health, orthomolecular medicine, and psychoneuroimmunology, while staying up to date with the latest research in both psychology and medicine. While Rosien is not a medical doctor and cannot provide medical advice, she can collaborate with your doctor, naturopath, or other healthcare professionals to ensure a well-rounded approach to your wellbeing.
In the first session, we will discuss the different strategies available and tailor the approach to best support you.
